When is the cut-off date for registration?

The final date to register and provide school and class lists is February 26th, 2019.

Who can participate in the math games?

The competition is exclusive for elementary school aged children. Individal students are encouraged to take part in the competition. However in order to be eligible for the bigger prizes schools must have a minimum of 100 students and classes a minimum of 10 students. We strongly recommend entire schools/districts to get involved because the impact felt by communities when everyone is engaged is significant.

How do I participate?

To participate, register your school at www.matific.com/matificgames Once registered schools will work with our team to get the students accounts created. When the Matific Math Games warm up begins all students are encouraged to login to Matific and begin completing activities which will earn the students "stars". Every time a student completes an activity the amount of stars they earn will be awarded to their individual total, their classes total AND their school total. Please note that no prizes are awarded during the warm up stage. When the competition goes live scoring will run in the same way as the warm up. Students complete activities available, earning themselves, their class and their school "stars" however this time the "stars" earned will be the deciding factor on who wins the prizes.

How are the winners calculated?

Prizes are split into three categories: 1 Schools, 2 Classes and 3 Individual Students. School and class prizes are calculated on the average number of stars collected per active student. For example: If a school has 5760 stars and they have 120 students their school score will be 48.00. If a class has 960 stars and 15 students their class score will be 64.00. Student prizes will be calculated on the total number of stars collected.
